They go by many names, some still used and others long forgotten. The Ancient Greeks called them Hearth-People. The Celts of Gaul called them Derwydd and Druí, meaning Priest. The Aztecs called them Nagual, meaning transformer. Where I was from, they called them Aje: Mother. Here, in this modern time, they are known as "Caster" and other names. From the dawn of their time, they were a special breed and despite their change in names and practices, one thing has remained about them: whether they are friend or foe, ally or enemy, they always have and will remain to be the greatest of us all.

A Caster is a term for a mortal being who is born with the power to affect change. By connecting with the energy of Nature and combining it with their own power, they are able to alter and influence the world around them through a variety of supernatural means.

Casters can be of any race and/or gender, and ethnicity and religion. While Casters in general are known as the self-proclaimed "Protectors of the Innocent" their true and primary adjective is to maintain the Balance and enforce the Will of Nature.

Physiology[]

Among the many Supernatural species, Casters are among the ones that most closely resembles regular Mortals in terms of appearance and overall mortality. Casters come in all shapes and sizes: things such as race, gender, ethnicity, or religion have no sway over whether or not a person will be born as a Caster. Though Casters are typically "feminine" in terms of gender and appearance, the more "masculine" Casters exist as well, through they only make up a third of the Caster Community.

The powers and abilities of a Caster are an inborn trait.
