Prudence Melinda Halliwell, often just called Melinda, is a witch and the daughter of Piper Halliwell and Cole Turner, and is the couples only girl. She is the third born of her family, with her elder brothers Wyatt and Benjamin, and her younger brother Nate. She often plays mediator between her three ever-feuding brothers, and hates it when she fights.

Melinda's relationship with her Mother is complicated and somewhat rocky. While the two do love each other, they can sometimes be each other worst enemies. With Melinda's need for independence and Piper's protective nature, the two often clash and can't go for more than two weeks without an disagreement of some kind. Things are made even worse by the fact that they not only shares the same powers, by they also have the same hot temper.
This beings said, Melinda has a much better relationship with her Father than she does with her Mother. She get's her sense of compassion and optimism from him, and Melinda believes that Leo is the only Parent that takes her seriously. Although it is rarely ever spoken aloud, Melinda is very much a Daddies Girl and Piper has often stated that Melinda has Leo wrapped around her finger.
